Visible red light is capable of penetrating the skin to a depth of about 8 to 10 mm. Once absorbed, the light energy is converted to cellular energy, stimulating the body’s natural processes on a cellular level and kicking off a whole series of metabolic events, including:

  • Increased circulation and the formation of new capillaries.
  • Increased lymph system activity.
  • Increased production of collagen and fibroblasts.
  • Increased release of ATP, or raw cellular energy.
  • Increased phagocytosis, or cellular clean up.
  • Tissue granulation is stimulated.
  • Inflammation is reduced.

All of these things work together to produce many benefits for you in the areas of anti-aging, the healing of wounds and injuries, and the relief of pain.

We’ve all seen those before and after pictures – but let’s set the expectation properly. After a Red Light treatment, certain things happen right away, and certain things take longer. For example, you may have a healthier, more radiant glow within minutes following each treatment.

Over time, Red Light will:

  • Create a healthy glow.
  • Smooth overall skin tone.
  • Reduce wrinkles, including crow’s feet, under-eye wrinkles, forehead wrinkles & laugh lines
  • Speed the healing of blemishes, like acne and rosacea.
  • Repair sun damage.
  • Reduce redness, flushing, and broken capillaries.
  • Gade scars and stretch marks.
  • Increase natural moisture in your skin.

It is important to remember that any imperfections that were gained slowly and over time will fade in the same way – slowly, over time. Gradually, uneven redness and spider veins will diminish. Collagen and elastin will increase with each treatment, slowing smoothing out any fine lines and wrinkles. These changes happen so gradually you may not notice, but others will. It will take about 8 weeks of consistent treatment to realize any significant, visible “before and after” type results.

It is recommended to use Red Light 2-3 times per week for best results. Based on clinical trials, significant anti-aging benefits and skin rejuvenation are achieved after a period of 12 weeks, completing 2-3 treatments per week.
